BJ's Wholesale Club, in partnership with Procter & Gamble's™ (P&G) corporate cause Live, Learn and Thrive, announced today that they have donated 20 $5,000 grants, totaling $100,000, to fund Power Hour curricula at Boys & Girls Clubs located throughout BJ's footprint.

"BJ's Wholesale Club takes great pride in giving back to local Boys & Girls Clubs and honoring our commitment to support educational programs that primarily benefit children and families in the communities we serve," said Jessica Newman, BJ's manager of community relations. "We are excited to partner with P&G for a second year to provide grants to 20 Boys & Girls Clubs that offer kids an engaging and secure learning environment for them to develop into productive and positive individuals."

Power Hour is the homework and tutoring program designed to raise the academic proficiency of Boys & Girls Club members ages 6-12. Power Hour provides children with the guidance necessary to complete their homework and start the next school day with a sense of confidence and ability.
