At the 2010 Corporate Citizenship: Winning a Seat at the Table conference, Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship assembled hundreds of professionals from around the world to discuss the financial and reputational advantages that come with a solid commitment to corporate citizenship, especially during recent turbulent times.

Leading policy makers from the largest domestic and international corporations, managers of corporate citizenship and community involvement, public relations, public affairs, contributions, communications, work/life issues, and other professionals responsible for community and business strategies are attending the three-day event.

CSRwire CEO, Joe Sibilia, who is speaking at the conference stated, "This is an opportunity to show how sustainability can lead to greater shared value. Corporations need to focus on 'social purpose branding' to strengthen their relations with stakeholders and consumers, and ultimately create a more sustainable economy."

Other news from the conference includes the announcement of the Boston College Film Fest 2010 winner, PricewaterhouseCoopers. The video from PricewaterhouseCoopers was one of 10 finalists selected from 29 entries showcasing how companies implemented good corporate citizenship initiatives. This year's winning video shows how 100 college students sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers took on a number of community service projects in June 2009 in areas still suffering the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina.
