AltaTerra Research is pleased to announce that Jim Hanna, Director of Environmental Impact at Starbucks Coffee Company, will present the featured case study in an upcoming web conference on leading practices in online sustainability reporting and stakeholder engagement. The web conference will be held on Tuesday, May 11th at 10 am Pacific / 1 pm Eastern. The content of the web conference will build on AltaTerra Research's recent report, "Greening the Company Website: A New Era in Sustainability Reporting."

Also presenting will be Jaclyn Pitera, Senior Analyst at AltaTerra Research and lead report author. Don Bray, President of AltaTerra Research, will moderate the session.

Key topics to be addressed include: How leading companies are using their websites to communicate environmental sustainability information and engage stakeholders, which attributes are most essential for this type of communication, and examples of best practices from leading green corporations, including top rankings for online communications.

"Many companies include environmental sustainability in their online web presence. With the rise of social media websites, companies are now also working on ways to have a more interactive dialogue with their stakeholders," said Pitera.

Starbucks is highlighted in the "Greening the Company Website" report for stakeholder engagement through its 'Shared Planet' website. Jim Hanna will present on the ways in which Starbucks is using its website to engage with stakeholders, and how that engagement is impacting their environmental efforts.
