The free webinar will address the basics about the waste management, waste to profit networking, recycling, drivers and environmental standards, and will answer the following questions:

  • How can I cost effectively recycle within my stores?
  • What is a waste to profit network?
  • What upcoming or current legislation is associated with waste/recycling?
  • Where do I start when trying to look for alternatives to landfill?
  • I want to do something unique but cost effective with my waste as an alternative to landfill - what is possible?
  • How can a retailer create a competitive advantage by addressing waste management?
  • Are there any third-party standards governing waste management, recycling or upcycling?

Waste management and Life Cycle Assessment is becoming the standard by which environmental initiatives are being judged.

"What once was only thought of a cost center is now becoming a revenue stream, not to mention and exciting story to share," said Trent Dawson, Ecoxera's Green Operations and Maintenance President. "Over the past year countless retailers within the U.S. and abroad have announced zero waste initiatives. This has forced facility and operations teams to better understand their waste streams and get creative in finding new ways to turn what once was thought of as trash into a resource - in some cases, yielding profit."

Making sense of waste management and minimizing waste has become a very important component of successful sustainability programs in retail. The world is looking to retail to help drive sustainability. The consumer of today, and of the future, has high expectations of retailers, hotels and restaurants, especially regarding how wasteful they are, what they are doing with their waste, and how innovative they are with recycling/ upcycling.

"Taking ownership of your waste is a choice today, but a mandate tomorrow," said Billy Watterson, g2 Revolution CEO. "Federal, state and municipal legislation is moving towards regulating what retailers put in the landfill. Smart waste management and waste to profit networking today will position retailers as a leader in this realm of sustainability and provide a compelling green story for the brand."

Ecoxera and g2 Revolution look forward to sharing market perspective with the retail, hospitality and restaurant industry through this free educational webinar.
