MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 26 /CSRwire/ - Verisae announced Penn Traffic, a leading food retailer in the eastern United States with over 80 stores, to deploy its Energy management solution in more than 48 additional stores in order to capture cost savings through improved energy efficiency. It is expected the expanded roll-out will reduce carbon emissions by 5,500 MT Co2 in total. Penn Traffic anticipates leveraging the Verisae energy management solutions to empower further operational improvements.

This project again confirms the results experienced by other Verisae clients. Based on real-time energy data monitoring coupled with verification via utility bill processing, the data has indicated a substantial reduction in energy usage and expenditures. Verisae implemented the energy management solutions in a selection of Penn Traffic stores via their Software as a Service (SaaS) model.

Energy Advantage Inc., an independent energy audit firm, working with Karabus retail management consultant, coordinated the pilot energy analysis and validated the results.
