NESEA Announces Fall Sustainability Workshop Series

The Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) is pleased to announce its Fall 2009 Sustainability Workshop Series with six workshops in five states scheduled to run in October, November and December.

NESEA's sustainability workshop series serves professionals by broadening their knowledge on a wide range of critical topics that focus on three core elements: sustainable solutions, proven results and cutting-edge development in the field. Each workshop is accredited by AIA, NACHI, NARI, BOMI, AIAQC, and NAHB. Attendees receive seven continuing education units for each workshop.

Pamela Lester, Program Manager for the Workshop Series said, "Each instructor of the series is an active NESEA member and has played an important role in advancing the mission of NESEA in offering real solutions to critical building questions. Collectively, the instructors have many years of experience designing, building and retrofitting energy efficient homes and buildings."

The Workshop Series includes:

  • Deep Energy Retrofit (DER), Paul Eldrenkamp, instructor
    - Falmouth, MA, October 28
    - Berlin, CT, November 9

  • Home Energy Rating System (HERS), Mike Duclos, instructor
    -New Brunswick, NJ, November 5

  • Residential Retrofits for Energy Efficiency & Sustainability, Larry Harmon, instructor
    - Providence, RI, November 7
    - Manchester, NH, December 1

  • Combining Infrared Thermography with Blower Door Testing, Bruce Torrey, instructor
    - Berlin, CT, November 16

Each workshop runs from 9:00 am "“ 5:00 pm. To register, visit www.nesea.org. The fee is $295 per workshop. NESEA members receive a $25 discount. Registration is limited and is taken on a first come first serve basis.
