Natick, Mass. - May 22, 2009 - BJ's Wholesale Club and its vendors announced today their donation of more than $100,000 worth of products to The Family Inn at Children's Hospital Boston (CHB). Gifts range from electronics and kitchen supplies to bed and bath linens. Today, 20 BJ's Team Members will unload truckloads of product into The Family Inn at CHB.

"As The Family Inn’s largest corporate sponsor, BJ's Wholesale Club is proud to donate both our time and product to help Children's Hospital Boston provide a home-away-from-home to more patient families," said BJ's Senior Vice President, Director of Finance and CHB Board of Overseers Member Bob Eddy. "This donation is another opportunity for BJ's to give back and promote the well-being of children and families in every community we serve."

CHB currently offers housing for 13 families at the Devon Nicole House, located in an office building three blocks from the hospital. According to the hospital, there is never a vacant room and always a long waiting list of families desperate to be near their sick children during treatment. Last year, Children's Hospital purchased an old Victorian home at 241 Kent Street in Brookline and began extensive renovations. The new home will be open to families on June 15, and house up to 23 families.

The following Vendor Partners worked alongside BJ's to complete this donation:, American Dawn, Inc., ARC, Berkshire Blanket, Bose(R), Cambridge Flatware(R), Calderon Textiles, Colgate-Palmolive Company, Clorox(R), Crayola(R), Direct Home, Dorel Industries, Inc., Euro-Pro(TM), Gibson, Hoover(R), Kimberly-Clark, Kraft Foods, Lifetime Brands, Louisville Bedding Company(TM), Mesa Safe Company, Mohawk Home(R), Munchkin(R), Neat Solutions, Inc., New Age, Rubbermaid(R), SDI/iHome, Sharp(R), Sony, Tabletops Unlimited, Toshiba, Town & Country, Vtech, Wilton(R), World Kitchen(R) and Unilever.

In addition to today's contribution, BJ's will be delivering $3,400 worth of food the day families arrive.
