NEW YORK, NY - Avon Products, Inc. (NYSE: AVP) today announced that it has again been named among the top companies by Business Ethics magazine in its annual "100 Best Corporate Citizens" listing. This year marks the fourth consecutive elevation of Avon's ranking on this list, moving up from its No. 10 position in 2002.

The rankings are based on a qualitative measure of corporate service to seven stakeholder groups: stockholders, community, women and minorities, employees, the environment, overseas stakeholders and customers. This year's list is drawn from the 1,000 largest public companies listed on the Russell 1,000 Index.

This is the third recognition Avon has received in the past month. In February, Avon was recognized by Fortune magazine as one of "America's Most Admired Companies" and was selected as the No. 1 company for female executives by the National Association for Female Executives for the fifth consecutive year.

"We are delighted that Avon continues to be recognized for its commitment to corporate citizenship," said Andrea Jung, Avon's chairman and chief executive officer. "Reputation is something earned over decades and Avon's guiding principles, established over a century ago, have always defined our responsibilities and obligations to our global communities and they will continue to chart our course in the future."

The Carroll School of Management at Boston College, Chestnut Hill, MA, did statistical analysis for the "100 Best Corporate Citizens." KLD Research & Analytics, a Boston research firm serving socially responsible investors, provided social ratings.

Avon is the world's leading direct seller of beauty and related products, with $6.2 billion in annual revenues. Avon Products, Inc. recognized the beauty of "corporate responsibility" nearly a century before the term became part of the cultural lexicon. From the very beginning, in 1886, forward-thinking Avon founder David H. McConnell committed his company "to meet fully the obligations of corporate citizenship by contributing to the well-being of society and the environment in which it functions" - words that still guide the company more than 125 years later.

Avon is committed to the mission to "do well by doing good," managing its business enterprise to the highest standards while leveraging its unique capacity to mobilize and engage people to be agents of change in their lives, communities and the world.

Avon's Corporate Responsibility reflects the three pillars of Avon's corporate mission and drives the focus of the company's corporate responsibility efforts and achievements:
