MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 15, 2007--Brady Corporation (NYSE:BRC) has again been named to the list of "The 100 Best Corporate Citizens" published by CRO magazine and released this week. The "100 Best Corporate Citizens" list identifies companies that excel at serving a variety of stakeholders including shareholders, community and employees. The annual survey focuses on the corporate responsibility performance of major U.S. companies, and has gained national recognition as an indicator of best practices in this area. Brady, ranked 70th on the list, is one of only a handful of companies that have made the list every year since its inception in 2000.

The "100 Best Corporate Citizens" list was developed by Business Ethics magazine, which was incorporated last year into the CRO, a premier membership organization for corporate responsibility officers. The list is drawn from more than 1,100 of the largest U.S. publicly traded companies, including firms in the Russell 1000, the S&P 500, and the Domini 400 Social Index. Companies are ranked on service in eight stakeholder categories: shareholders, community, governance, diversity, employees, environment, human rights and product. Ratings are drawn from the online social research database created by KLD Research & Analytics, Inc. in Boston, an independent research firm serving investment management professionals.

"The 100 Best distinguish themselves from their peers by embracing higher standards, combining strong financial performance with responsible practices on environmental and social issues," said Michael Connor, Publisher and Editor of CRO magazine.

"We are honored to again be recognized by CRO as being one of the 100 best corporate citizens in the U.S.," said Brady President and CEO Frank M. Jaehnert. "We recognize that strong corporate responsibility adds value to our communities, our employees and our shareholders, and we remain committed to making a difference while making a profit."
