ATLANTA, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Approximately 50 CSX employees, 50 community members and eight City Year corps members will complete more than 430 total hours of community service at Lang Carson Community Center and Krog Street Tunnel entrance tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 13. The participants in the service event will participate in the following activities:
* Landscaping the Cabbagetown and Reynoldstown sides of the Krog Street Tunnel entrance
* Brightening Lang Carson Community Center basketball court with a new mural and playground games
* Landscaping the grounds of the Lang Carson Community Center

Event Schedule for October 13, 2007:
8:00 am - Registration
8:30 am - Morning kick-off
9:00 am - Service begins
12:00 pm - Lunch
12:30 pm - Service resumes

This event is the fifth in a series of six CSX and City Year cooperative service days this year. As part of CSX's community outreach program, each service day is planned in an area where CSX has significant train operations and impacts the local community. CSX employees have participated in service days in New Orleans, Washington D.C., Cleveland and Louisville; the last will be held in Jacksonville, Fla.
