UNICEF and Clear Channel Hold Press Conference to Launch First-Ever Global Outdoor Ad Campaign Highlighting Impact of AIDS on Children

What:
The first ever global outdoor advertising campaign to raise
awareness of the impact of HIV/AIDS on children will be
unveiled by UNICEF and Clear Channel Outdoor. The creative
resulted from a worldwide competition that received a
tremendous response from the world's advertising agencies. The
winning creative, by Bester Burke, an agency in Cape Town,
South Africa, was chosen from over 300 entries. The campaign
will debut globally starting November.

Why:

Clear Channel has joined forces with UNICEF to raise
awareness of children affected by HIV/AIDS. 15 million
children have already lost parents to AIDS. Millions more need
treatment, protection and support. The creative forms an
important first plank in UNICEF's global campaign 'Unite for
Children, Unite against AIDS', launched on Tuesday, October
25. Clear Channel donated $5 million worth of outdoor
advertising space and services to mount the campaign, which
will be seen in 50 countries worldwide.

There will be great photo-op and interview opportunities.
