Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) will sponsor the second Annual Supplier Diversity "Procurement" Exchange on Tuesday, May 9, from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. (EDT) at Delta’s Worldwide Headquarters. This event features a general session and business marketplace to bring together Delta Purchasing representatives, first-tier suppliers and other major corporations with small, minority and women-owned businesses.

Edward H. West, Delta’s executive vice president and CFO, will speak on Delta’s business operations and the on-going commitment to supplier diversity. "The Exchange provides a great setting to share our corporate strategies and goals, with an opportunity to network," said West. "Last year more than 250 people attended this event, and we expect to surpass that number during this Exchange."

Delta has received several awards over the past few years for its supplier diversity efforts. The awards include 1998 Corporation of the Year, 1997 Advocate of the Year and the 1997 Crystal Award from the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council.

Delta is a member of the National Minority Supplier Development Council and organizations such as the Women Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the Atlanta Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Native American Business Alliance and the Asian Business Association.

Suppliers interested in registering for this event should contact Delta’s Supplier Diversity department toll free at (877) 807-7127 or contact supplier.diversity@delta-air.com.
