Delta’s SkyWishä program, American Red Cross and the FOX network turned a fantasy into reality for one "Power Rangers family." The Streepeys of Lexington, Ky., won the "FOX Kids On-Location Vacation" package. The children of Ben and Judi Streepey, Sarah and Benjamin, are devoted viewers of the "Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue" program and traveled to Los Angeles to meet the superheroes last week.

All SkyMiles members who donated miles to the American Red Cross, Delta’s first "Charity of the Quarter," via SkyWish from January through March were included in the random drawing to win the FOX Kids package. As part of the vacation package, the Streepeys met the Power Rangers and viewed a taping of the show, toured the FOX Kids Animation Studios and became "animated." They also attended a Major League Baseball game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres.

The promotion netted approximately one million miles for the American Red Cross, which will use the miles to help mobilize relief to the victims of more than 60,000 disasters nationwide. Boosted by this promotion, SkyWish reached the 200 million-mile mark in total charitable donations for the past five years.

"Together, Delta’s SkyWish program, the American Red Cross and the FOX Network created this unique promotion," said Christine Pierce, Delta’s director of relationship marketing, "and thanks to the generosity of our SkyMiles members it became a tremendous success."

"I told the kids that the Lightspeed Rescue Power Rangers help others, just like the American Red Cross assists those in need," said Judi Streepey. "This is an experience that they can learn from and enjoy."

SkyWish enables members of the SkyMiles program to donate miles to their choice of four core charities (CARE, Make-A-Wish Foundation, The United Way of America and United Way International) as well as a rotating charity that changes every quarter.

Delta SkyMiles members earn mileage by flying Delta, the Delta Connection carriers, Delta Express, the Delta Shuttle and Delta's airline partners. The Delta SkyMiles program offers many other mileage-building opportunities, including the Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express, MCI WorldCom services, hotels, car purchases, car rentals, cruise lines, restaurants, mortgages with North American Mortgage Company and GMAC Real Estate/Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate.

Delta's goal is to become the #1 airline in the eyes of its customers, flying passengers and cargo from anywhere to everywhere. Passengers already choose to fly Delta more often than any other airline in the world, and the carrier was named "Best-Managed Major Airline" in 1999 by Aviation Week & Space Technology magazine. Customers have access to a global network of 5,390 flights each day to 356 cities in 57 countries on Delta, Delta Express, Delta Shuttle, the Delta Connection carriers and Delta's Worldwide Partners.
