More than 550 employees from General Electric (GE) businesses in Kansas City will participate in GE's Day of Caring on Thursday, October 18. A company-wide initiative, GE's Day of Caring involves GE businesses around the world joining together to serve their respective communities.
"This collaboration between GE and the Kansas City community is truly inspiring," said Al Stanley, Chief Operating Officer and United Way Chairperson for Overland Park-based GE Employers Reinsurance Corporation. "It is invigorating to see so many people give their time and talents to benefit others in need."
During September, a weeklong fundraising effort for the United Way was held by GE Employers Reinsurance Corporation (GE ERC), who is leading this effort in Kansas City.
