KeyCorp Appoints Valerie Raines Senior Program Officer, Corporate Philanthropy

CLEVELAND- June 13, 2007 - KeyCorp today appointed Valerie Raines senior program officer. Reporting to Key Foundation Chair and Executive Vice President and Director of Corporate Diversity & Philanthropy Margot Copeland, Raines will develop strategic grants and enhance Key's philanthropic positioning and partnerships through its corporate giving program.

"Valerie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience tailored to Key's strategic support of workforce development and financial literacy programs that make our communities strong," says Copeland. "Grant seekers and communities at large will greatly benefit from her leadership, guidance and expertise in building model programs with measurable impact."

Raines joined Key from United Way of Greater Cleveland where she served as program director responsible for working with volunteer leadership and distributing grants to member agencies. She previously served as vice president of Catholic Diocese of Cleveland Foundation and director of college guidance for Laurel School in Shaker Heights.

Raines is a member of The Foundation Center advisory board and the Harry R. Horvitz Foundation scholarship committee. She holds a Master's degree in nonprofit organizations from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor's degree in counseling and psychology from Northwestern University.
