COLUMBUS, August 11, 2006 - As part of KeyBank's comprehensive efforts to build relationships within its communities, the bank's new Grove City KeyCenter at 5868 Hoover Road is donating $25 to local nonprofit, The Buckeye Ranch, for every new account opened at the branch throughout the month of August. The donations will help the organization provide family-focused mental health treatment options for children with behavioral or psychological disorders. Visit www.buckeyeranch.org for more information.

Grove City Mayor Cheryl Grossman joined KeyBank Central Ohio district president Sue Zazon, Central Ohio district retail leader Eric Babbert (both Grove City High School alumni) and KeyCenter manager Matt Reed for a ribbon-cutting ceremony today.

KeyBank is also planning a number of family-friendly activities to be held at the KeyCenter each Saturday for four weeks beginning August 12, when WLVQ-FM 96.3 broadcasts live from the branch, with prizes and hotdogs for all (weather permitting). Other plans include a "Shred Your Worries" day offering document shredding, child finger printing and educational materials about how to protect yourself from fraud and identity theft. Key will round-out its activities on September 2 by celebrating the first Ohio State football game of the year with a tailgate party in the KeyCenter parking lot.

"We are looking to provide more than just financial services to Grove City," says Matt Reed KeyCenter manager. "Key's goal is to develop a strong relationship with the community that allows us to help the city and its residents grow. Our partnership with the Buckeye Ranch and the family events scheduled for the next few weeks are just a few examples of why 'community is Key' in Grove City."

This latest KeyCenter is the fourth branch opened in the Columbus-area in the past three years. Key expects to open several additional KeyCenters and increase its managed assets in the area to $1.5 billion within the next year.

The 3,050-square-foot branch provides a full range services banking and investment management services and will be staffed with a full-time Grove City-based private banker and a business banker developing relationships across the community.

KeyBank contracted with minority-owned Williamson Builders to construct the KeyCenter. The Grove City location is the 29th branch in Key's Central Ohio district and the second in Grove City.

"We believe in supporting the communities we serve," says Sue Zazon, KeyBank's Central Ohio district president. "Williamson Builders has a reputation for expertise in commercial construction with a 'customer first' approach that matches our own."
