DALLAS, TX- Feb. 15, 2007 "“ CRO magazine released the 8th annual "100 Best Corporate Citizens" list, in which Kimberly-Clark Corporation (NYSE: KMB) has been recognized as 23rd out of the top 100 U.S. companies for outstanding corporate responsibility performance. The survey is nationally regarded as an indicator of best practices in corporate responsibility.

The 100 Best Corporate Citizens list recognizes firms that excel at serving a variety of stakeholders. More than 1,100 of the largest U.S. publicly traded companies are evaluated for the list each year, and Kimberly-Clark was selected for its social, economic and environmental performance.

"The 100 Best distinguish themselves from their peers at other large public companies by embracing higher standards-combining strong financial performance with responsible practices on environmental and social issues," said Michael Connor, publisher and editor of CRO magazine. "We salute the 100 Best for their leadership roles in the field of corporate responsibility."

Thomas J. Falk, Kimberly-Clark chairman and chief executive officer, said: "We are honored to be recognized as one of the nation’s best corporate citizens. As a leading manufacturer of products that help people care for one another, we view our record on corporate sustainability and stakeholder management as a natural and necessary part of the work we do every day."

The 100 Best Corporate Citizens list was developed by Business Ethics magazine and incorporated last year into The CRO a membership organization of corporate responsibility officers. The list is drawn from data from an independent research firm that assigns a numerical rating on companies' service to various stakeholders in the areas of shareholders, community, governance, diversity, employees, environment, human rights and product.

More details regarding the 100 Best Corporate Citizens list are available on the CRO web site at www.thecro.com. The full list will be published in CRO magazine's January/February 2007 issue.
