WHO/WHAT: In recognition of National Home Safety Month, the "Pledge to Prepare" partners are reaching out to communities across the country throughout June. Lead by a collective of home, child and safety experts including Lowe's, Kidde, American Red Cross, Home Safety Council and Nick Jr. Family Magazine, this national public service campaign focuses on helping families prepare for home and fire emergencies.

In-store events at Lowe's include home safety clinics for adults and children, sponsored by Kidde and Home Safety Council, and American Red Cross educational activities. For more information and to take the Pledge to Prepare, visit pledgetoprepare.com.

The Home Safety Council's national mobile tour, the Great Safety Adventure, is visiting elementary schools and Lowe's stores. Nick Jr. Family Magazine is distributing its fire safety booklet at all Lowe's stores, in Nick Jr. Family Magazine (June/July issue) and in Lowe's Creative Ideas magazine (May/June issue). This booklet provides a safety action plan to help families prevent home and fire dangers.
