Nike Wins Hong Kong Caring Company Award

The sports and fitness company is among 259 companies cited by the Hong Kong Council of Social Services (HKCSS)

Beaverton, OR, - Nike announced today that it has been cited by the HKCSS for its support of Save the Children (Hong Kong) and its Slam Dunk Basketball Challenge since 1998. The basketball program focuses on underserved youth in Hong Kong and on building self-confidence, self esteem, team spirit and a greater responsibility for the communities in which they live. Through basketball training combined with work the youngsters taking part in the program are able to achieve a greater degree of self worth as well as understanding and connection with the local community. This year the program will benefit 492 youngsters.
