WHO: William Daley, president, SBC Communications, will address teachers and community leaders at the national conference for the National Council for Community and Education Partnerships (NCCEP). The address will concern the importance of K-16 programs for underserved youth and the need to academically prepare the nation’s future workforce. NCCEP is a national nonprofit organization committed to promoting academic achievement and student success.

WHAT:The SBC Foundation – the philanthropic arm of SBC Communications – provided a $330,000 grant to enhance NCCEP’s online presence by creating an interactive Web site for sharing information on public policy issues, college access programs and education strategies proven effective with students from low-income families. NCCEP’s improved Web site will provide online education training, best practices and tools to increase the impact of NCCEP programs.
