NEW YORK, NY - Toyota and its 36,000 team members and associates in North America would like to express their sincere condolences to the victims and families affected by the tsunami in Asia. Following Toyota Motor Corporation's announcement today of a $3 million direct donation to tsunami relief organizations, Toyota Motor North America (TMA) announced that Toyota's North American operations will match up to $1 million in team member and associate contributions to the International Response Fund of the American Red Cross and UNICEF. In addition, Toyota and Lexus dealers and suppliers across the country have demonstrated their support through independent contributions.

TMA believes that contributions from North America, along with those from other Toyota affiliates worldwide, will raise Toyota's total global contribution to over $4 million.
