In 2005, Talisman...

  • Launched a Company-wide Online Ethics Awareness Program
  • Invested approximately $5.5 million in global community development programs
  • Launched a proactive stakeholder consultation process in Alaska.
  • Recorded no fatalities, life-threatening occupational injuries or major environmental incidents at Talisman-operated sites.
  • Implemented produced water re-injection projects that will significantly reduce the amount of oil discharged from offshore operations in the North Sea.
  • Became the first Canadian company to officially support the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative.
  • Established an accounting and auditing complaints procedure and hotline to provide employees with a means to report questionable accounting and auditing practices.
