NEW YORK, NY. - November 11, 2008 - The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) and L'Oreal Paris hosted the L'Oreal Legends Gala on November 10th at the American Museum of Natural History. This glamorous evening united the beauty, fashion, finance and media industries behind the important cause and together raised over $4.3 million toward the much-needed funds for ovarian cancer research.

Sherry Lansing, Founder of The Sherry Lansing Foundation and Board Member of "Stand Up To Cancer", and Richard A. Baker, Chief Executive Officer of NRDC Equity Partners, was honored with The OCRF Legends Award. OCRF Board Member Mindy Gray and Jonathan Gray, Senior Managing Director, The Blackstone Group, were honored with The Liz Tilberis Humanitarian Award. The beautiful gala included a cocktail reception and luxury silent auction curated by Town&Country magazine. Dinner and entertainment followed thereafter, and the program included appearances by L'Oreal Paris spokespeople Linda Evangelista, Dayle Haddon, Milla Jovovich, Diane Keaton, Andie MacDowell and Kerry Washington. World-renowned violinist, Vanessa-Mae, gave an enchanted performance after dinner.
