Dobson Communications Corporation (Nasdaq:DCEL) today announced the winners of its biannual Dobson PRIDE (Promoting Individual Development and Education) Scholarship Program for graduating high school students.

Dobson has awarded $1,000 scholarships to students who "endeavor to better themselves and their communities through achievements in their community, education and personal development."

Founded by chairman and CEO Everett R. Dobson in 1996, the PRIDE program has awarded more than $230,000 to more than 300 students who live in a household for which Dobson provides wireless telecommunications services. Scholarships are awarded to college students in the fall and to high school students in the spring of each year. The most recent class of award winners and their (hometowns) includes:
