As the University of Connecticut School of Business begins classes in its new state-of-the-art research and learning facility, SS&C Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSNC) has been named a Leadership Donor in the school's effort to raise the final $4.5 million needed to complete the new building. As a Leadership Donor, SS&C ran an internal fundraising campaign and also matched employee donations on a dollar-for-dollar basis, with a total contribution of $125,000 to the School of Business. The SS&C Technologies External Relations Conference Room will be commemorated during the school's formal building dedication, scheduled for October 26, 2001.

"We are happy to be a part of this exciting event for the UConn School of Business," said William C. Stone, President, CEO and Chairman of SS&C, and a member of the School's Board of Advisors. "We believe having the leading public business school in New England in our backyard is highly advantageous to us, as well as our more than 50 Connecticut-based customers. Over the years, SS&C has benefited greatly from the high caliber graduates we've hired out of UConn, and we are pleased to give back in this way."

"UConn is very grateful to SS&C and Connecticut's other business leaders who have stepped up with such a substantial commitment to the future of the School," said Thomas G. Gutteridge, Dean and Distinguished Professor of Management at UConn's School of Business. "The new facility offers an extraordinary learning center, fortified with the latest technology available, that will propel the school toward its goal to be among the top 25 public business schools in the country," Mr. Gutteridge continued.

In addition to being a member of the Board of Advisors for the UConn School of Business Mr. Stone has been an active member of the School's community, serving as a guest speaker, and most recently as graduation speaker at UConn's Executive MBA. SS&C also regularly sponsors internships for UConn students, as well as students from other Connecticut-based colleges and universities.
