500 Socially Responsible Investment Industry Professionals to Converge on Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO.-- The 17th annual SRI in the Rockies Conference sected to draw over 500 socially responsible investment industry practitioners and professionals from related fields in the United States and around the world to The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs October 28-31, 2006.

"With corporate ethics and transparency the key business issues of the day, socially conscious investors are critically important to the future of a trustworthy and sustainable free enterprise system." said conference host George Gay, CEO of Colorado Springs based First Affirmative Financial Network. "We expect this event to be our biggest SRI in the Rockies Conference ever. SRI in the Rockies is co-produced by First Affirmative Financial and the non-profit Social Investment Forum. The 2006 conference theme is Sustainable and Responsible Investing: Transforming the Global Econom. The annual Moskowitz Prize for academic excellence in an area germane to the social investment industry will be awarded during the conference. And 6-8 hours of CE (continuing education) credits will be available for CFPs (certified financial planners).
