Telelogic (Stockholm Exchange:TLOG), the leading global provider of solutions for advanced software and systems development, today announced that the company has donated more than US$300,000 of software to two additional universities through the Telelogic University Program.

The program provides universities in the Americas with free copies of Telelogic's state-of-the-art software for classroom use. The two new members of the Telelogic University Program are:

The Instituto Technologico de Aeronautica, Brazil

Telelogic has donated 20 copies each of Telelogic Tau(R) UML and SDL Suites, Telelogic Synergy(TM) and Telelogic DOORS(R). Telelogic's Tau UML Suite is a best-in-class tool for analysis and object-oriented modeling; Tau SDL Suite is a leading tool for real-time system design and implementation. Telelogic Synergy delivers comprehensive task-based change management capabilities. Telelogic DOORS(R) provides enterprise-wide requirements management.

Acquired by Telelogic from Quality Systems & Software in August 2000, DOORS was named the market leader by the Standish Group in its latest industry report, entitled, "What are your requirements? 2000."

"Telelogic has provided our students with the most sophisticated tools available that help automate the advanced software and systems development lifecycle," said Professor Adilson Cunha, Instituto Technologico de Aeronautica. "As a result, we can provide greater hands-on experience and respond to the marketplace's demand for graduates who are already skilled in the most advanced tools."

Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana

Telelogic has donated 24 copies of Telelogic Tau(R), UML, SDL, TTCN, Logiscope and ObjectGeode. Telelogic Tau Logiscope(TM) is designed to achieve the desired quality in textual code in the development of real-time systems, a task that is inherently more error-prone than when using visual development.

ObjectGeode is a tool set dedicated to analysis, design, verification and validation through simulation, code generation and testing of real-time and distributed applications.

"The donation of Telelogic's Tau Suite and other advanced automated software development tools enables our students -- the world's future engineers and developers -- to enter the business world already armed with the skills and knowledge they need to be successful early on in their careers," said Professor Wayne Zage, Ball State University. "Their skills will be invaluable to organizations seeking to increase efficiencies and productivity."

For the initial launch of this program in September 2001, Telelogic donated US$500,000 of software to three universities. Telelogic software is also being made available to training and consulting companies at significantly reduced prices.

Universities in the Americas that enroll in the company's University Program may choose any Telelogic software product free-of-charge. However, each university must certify that Telelogic software will only be used for curriculum-based education. If training or professional services are required, or if a university plans to use the software for a funded project, significant discounts are available. There will be no charge for maintenance or upgrades for a two-year period following program enrollment.

Enrolling in the Telelogic University Program
