QUANTUM Technologies WorldWide, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of IMPCO Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: IMCO) announced that its Chief Operating Officer, Alan Niedzwiecki, is speaking today at the JPMorgan H&Q Energy Technology Conference, "Powering the Digital Age,'' Thursday, January 24th in New York City. The Conference is a major energy forum for leaders in key energy industry sectors including distributed power generation, energy management, power quality and storage, software solutions and enabling technologies.

Niedzwiecki's presentation will highlight QUANTUM's recent business and technological advancements in the production and commercialization of QUANTUM's gaseous fuel system technologies for mobile, stationary, portable and hydrogen refueling infrastructure applications.

Niedzwiecki will also address the importance of QUANTUM's strategic alliances and business partnerships, namely, the global strategic alliance with General Motors. This alliance was announced in June 2001. The two companies are collaborating to improve the range of GM's fuel cell vehicles through the development of hydrogen storage, hydrogen handling and electronic control technologies for fuel cell applications, and intend to speed the commercialization of fuel cell applications.

Prior to joining IMPCO, Niedzwiecki was President and CEO of NGV Corporation, an engineering and marketing/commercialization consulting firm working closely with government, and companies such as Shell, World Bank, EDO Aerospace, Dynetek Industries and over 100 natural gas utilities.

Niedzwiecki has more than 25 years of experience in the alternative fuels industry in product/technology development and commercialization relating to mobile, stationary power generation, and refueling infrastructure solutions. He serves on the Board of Directors of the National Hydrogen Association, the U.S. Fuel Cell Council, the U.S. Natural Gas Vehicle Coalition, CALSTART/Weststart, and the California Hydrogen Business Council.
