HP and WWF will Join Citigroup, IBM, Toyota and AIG to Debate Climate Change Strategies in Boston

With climate change so high up on the media agenda and the list of investors’ demands. Companies are scrambling to develop a coherent strategy. Now some of the biggest names in the US – and international – business are gathering to debate how to do it eff

BOSTON, MA - May 23, 2007- Hewlett-Packard announced today plans to allocate more than $2 million to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to address the causes and consequences of climate change. Both HP and WWF will discuss their new projects and past initiatives at the "Climate Change Strategies and Environmental Communication" conference, set to take place on June 6&7, in Boston.

The list of other organizations confirmed to attend and speak includes AIG, Citigroup, Timberland, Intel, Alcoa, Toyota Staples, Ceres, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, the Pew Center on Global Climate Change, Stonyfield Farm, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Interface, IKEA, Chicago Climate Exchange, Sun Microsystems, American Electric Power and Ben & Jerry’s.

IBM will discuss how to develop climate change strategies that support business growth and enhance company's reputation.

Citigroup will explain why they are going to direct $50 billion over the next 10 years to address global climate change.

Mike Harrison, the Timberland’s President of Casual Gear will address the environmental communications strategies that can win over the most sceptical customers.

Over 150 senior corporate executives and environmental experts are set to attend the conference in Boston on June 6&7.
