Annual Conference on Corporate Citizenship Unveils Keynote Speakers

CHESTNUT HILL, MA - The Center for Corporate Citizenship at Boston College today announced the keynote speakers to be featured at its annual International Corporate Citizenship Conference to be held April 3-5, 2005 in Boston at the Hynes Convention Center. The conference will mark the 20th anniversary of The Center which works with companies taking leadership in defining the role of business in society.

The conference will open with Tom McCoy, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of AMD, this year's presenting sponsor and conference co-chair. Addressing the 500 business professionals attending the conference will be Starbucks Coffee Company CEO-designate Jim Donald; Harvard Business School Professor Rosabeth Moss Kanter; CEO of ImagineNations Rick Little and futurist and author Andrew Zolli. These speakers will cover the challenging issues related to corporate citizenship facing companies today.

This year's conference is titled, Mapping the Future of Corporate Citizenship: Redefining the Markers for Business Success, and will focus on business strategy, best practices, and trends related to the role that companies play in society.

The two and a half day conference features 20 learning sessions that explore topics such as:

  • Putting Corporate Citizenship on the Boardroom Agenda
  • Defining the Markers for Corporate Citizenship Success
  • Embedding Social Issues into Your Corporate Brand
  • Corporate Philanthropy: Building Value and Embracing Values
  • The Workforce: An Under-explored Stakeholder in Corporate Citizenship
  • Sustainability: What is Your Connection to it and What Should it be in the Future?
  • Developing Integrated Community and Government Relations Strategies

    The learning sessions will be led by executives representing such leading companies as Abbott Laboratories, AMD, Cone Communications, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intel, Nike and Procter & Gamble.
