The Institute on Corporate Community Involvement is the best introduction to corporate community involvement and corporate citizenship available. It positions community involvement as it relates to corporate citizenship, and focuses on proactive planning, tools and techniques to assure that community involvement is an integral component of a company's business strategy. The Institute provides a step-by-step framework to develop and implement a community involvement program and forms the basis for understanding relationship building, issues management, and strategy development. It is appropriate for experienced managers interested in developing a more strategic, planned and focused approach to community involvement, for functional managers who also have responsibility for their company's community involvement efforts, and for newcomers to the field.
