BSR Conference Convenes 1,000+ Business Leaders in Miami this November
SAN FRANCISCO, California - Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) announced today that Arthur Levitt, former Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, will deliver a keynote address at the 2002 BSR Annual Conference, to be held November 5-8 in Miami, Florida.
Now in its tenth year, the BSR Annual Conference is the largest and one of the most important forums on corporate social responsibility (CSR). More than 1,000 business leaders and their colleagues in the nonprofit, nongovernmental and government sectors attend from more than 30 countries, generating a forum of diverse viewpoints and experiences. At the Conference, participants learn about innovative CSR practices, exchange experiences with peers from around the world and discuss emerging issues and trends.
Joining Mr. Levitt in keynote sessions will be the President of Unilever North America, Columbian business leader Niconor Restrepo, UN Development Program Director Mark Malloch Brown, Brazilian Senator Marina Silva, Dr. Vandana Shiva of the Research Foundation for Science, Technology and Ecology in India, the Chair of the American Association of Institutional Investors, leaders of CSR entities such as the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, FTSE4Good, the Global Reporting Initiative and other prominent business executives from around the world.
