VANCOUVER, British Columbia - The Ethics in Action Awards celebrate businesses whose actions and decisions have a positive impact on our communities by emphasizing accountability and promoting social and environmental bottom lines as well as traditional financial considerations.

This year the awards recognized six businesses, small and large, in the areas of Community Care, Environmental Excellence and Overall Ethics in Action Leadership. The 2002 award recipients are:

The Ethics in Action Awards were launched in British Columbia in 1994 through a partnership between VanCity Credit Union and the Workplace Centre for Spiritual and Ethical Development (formerly the Workplace Ministry).
