NEW YORK - Deloitte & Touche USA LLP, one of the nation's leading professional services organizations, announced today the winners of its 2004 Community IMPACT Awards and the non-profit organizations that will ultimately benefit. The annual awards celebrate Deloitte's long tradition of community service and recognize the dedication of the organization's people to improving the quality of life in their communities. This year, Deloitte is recognizing 10 individuals and five offices for commitment to the community; Deloitte will contribute a total of $75,000 to charitable organizations selected by the winners. The announcement coincides with National Philanthropy Day.

Deloitte presented awards in several categories including employees, partners, retired partners, and office initiatives. Key criteria across all categories included a demonstration of passion for community involvement and encouragement of others to embrace volunteerism. Nearly 20,000 employees in the United States took the opportunity to set aside their work for the day and volunteer in the community.
