WHAT: Symposium on "Corporate Governance in the United States and Europe: An Emerging Consensus or Growing Disparity?"

During the past year, issues concerning corporate governance have become a major concern for many Americans and Europeans. Allegations that executives and directors at large public companies (such as WorldCom and Enron) had engaged in financial and accounting improprieties led to a sharp decline in investor confidence that affected stock markets around the world.
