The corporate communications department plays an increasing important role in the company, and can be a strategic partner in the business, especially when it comes to maintaining corporate reputation, branding, and communicating messages effectively both internally and externally. They are the frontline when it comes to communicating with the media, and yet little is known about the corporate communications function. This needs to change! It is high time the media gets to know how the corporate communications department operates, and for corporate communicators to discover more effective ways to deliver their messages.

To address the above, the most exciting gathering for the media and corporate communications professionals will be happening in Kuala Lumpur on the 29th of March 2005. The Corporate Communications Summit 2005, organized by IQPC will be the one place where topics such as Crisis Communication, Corporate Social Responsibility, Performance Metrics, Branding & Media Relations will be discussed with the aim of raising industry capability through a concerted effort by leading businesses and media parties to tackle pertinent issues with regard to corporate communications.

This conference brings together an unrivalled speaker assembly from leading practitioners and media parties such as UBS AG, Virgin Group, Microsoft, McDonalds, Merck Sharp & Dhome, and Bloomberg. Many others will also be sharing their experiences to make the communication experience more effective, driving the entire industry forward.

The format is a mixture of 15 formal presentations, and a panel discussion on Improving Media Relations, which will be tabled by Mr Lee Miller, Chief Reporter from Bloomberg, and Mr Ryan Rubin, Editor for the Marketing Magazine.

Supported by the International Association of Business Communicators Malaysia (IABC Malaysia), the Institute of Public Relations Malaysia (IPRM), Public Relations Society of Indonesia, and CSR-Asia, with leading media partners from Xinhua PR Newswire, Asia Times Online, The Business Communicator, Strategic Communication Management, CSR Wire, and Business Ethics, this is one of the most highly supported and recognized events of the industry.

Corporate Communications Summit is an IQPC conference.

This event is to be held at the Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 29-30 March 2005.
