Of particular note, Hollywood director, producer and electric drive advocate Rob Reiner will keynote the Opening Plenary session on Monday, November 17, joined by international leaders from the automotive, technology development and energy sectors. Mr. Reiner is a recognized and active civic leader and environmentalist, even “walking the talk” by driving a Toyota Prius hybrid electric vehicle.

The Closing Plenary Session, “Sustainable Transportation: A World Community Call to Action”, on Wednesday, November 19 will celebrate and explore innovative work underway in three cities around the world and will feature:
On Sunday, November 16, EVS-20 will feature an Automotive Media Roundtable, with top-level executives from General Motors, Toyota, Honda, Ford, Nissan and DaimlerChrysler. Participants will speak to the topic of the “Global Calls for Sustainable Transportation”, and how manufacturers, suppliers, and society can “afford the bill” of a global transition to widespread electric drive.
