Through three distinct awards, World of Children, Kellogg's and Cardinal Health hope to bring honor and international acclaim to outstanding children's advocates and the work that they do, and to help raise public awareness about the issues affecting the world's children. The three awards are:

  • $15,000 Founder's Award, underwritten by donations to World of Children Inc., recognizes a young person who has made an extraordinary contribution to children.

Honorary co-chairmen of the awards are Muhammad Ali, UN Messenger for Peace and former world heavyweight boxing champion, and 14-year-old Gregory Smith, founder of International Youth Advocates who was twice nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. ABC News anchor Leon Harris serves as emcee for the awards ceremony, to be held November 18, 2004 in Columbus, Ohio.
