BOSTON, MA - Enhancing its cutting edge international Corporate Social Responsibility practice, Foley Hoag has recently added Phillip H. Rudolph as a new partner. Mr. Rudolph, former International General Counsel and Head of Vendor Compliance for McDonald’s Corporation, will be based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.

“The partnership of Foley Hoag could not be more pleased with the addition of Phil Rudoph,” says Co-Managing Partner, Peter M. Rosenblum. “We are delighted to have attracted this leading international attorney to complement our unique corporate social responsibility practice.”

Phil Rudolph has been a lawyer representing major multinational corporations for over twenty years. Prior to joining Foley Hoag LLP, Mr. Rudolph was a Vice President at McDonald’s Corporation, where he served in several capacities, including those of U.S. and International General Counsel. In this capacity, Mr. Rudolph worked closely with socially responsible investor organizations, non-governmental organizations around the world, and other critical stakeholders in addressing and responding to global sourcing and supply chain issues. In addition, Mr. Rudolph served on McDonald’s Social Responsibility Steering Committee, which provided strategic advice and counsel to senior management, and he assisted in the drafting and publication of McDonald’s first Social Responsibility Report in 2002.

Prior to joining McDonald’s, Mr. Rudolph was a partner in the D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where he specialized in antitrust litigation and counseling.

Mr. Rudolph graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California at Irvine in 1980. In 1983, he received his JD from the University of Chicago Law School.
