What is Net Impact (NI)?
Net Impact is a network of emerging business leaders committed to using the power of business to create a better world. It is also the most progressive and influential network of MBAs in existence today. Originally founded as Students for Responsible Business in 1993, Net Impact has developed from a great idea shared by 17 business students into a mission-driven network of 1,500 new leaders for better business. Through its central office and more than 90 local chapters, Net Impact offers a portfolio of programs to help members broaden their business education, refine their leadership skills, and pursue their professional goals.

What is an internship?
An internship is a 10-12 week paid summer job for MBA students, usually from mid-May to mid-August. Successful MBA internships tend to be clearly defined projects that students can complete with some supervision from a senior leader.

MBA students tend to enter the MBA program with 4-5 years work experience. This coupled with their MBA training allows them to successfully implement and realize a variety of tasks. Past internships include market research and analysis; developing marketing plans; new product development; strategic business planning; identifying key processes and drivers of supply chain success; developing metrics to support process changes or improvements; budget development; cash flow forecasting; designing and implementing innovative budgeting tools and management reports; analyzing financial statements, corporate business reporting and consulting, among others.
