July 30, 2008 - The European Academy of Business in Society (EABIS), and Cranfield University School of Management are delighted to announce that the 7th Annual Colloquium will take place on September 10-11 in Cranfield, UK The 2008 Colloquium will take as its theme: "CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY AND SUSTAINABILITY: LEADERSHIP AND ORGANISATIONAL CHANGE". Specifically, the conference will drill into the vital challenges of embedding CR and Sustainability into the DNA of the firm (structures, cultures, systems, processes and competencies); the implied organisational change, innovation or even transformation this takes; and the required leadership for making this happen.
Expecting more than 300 participants from academia, business, policy and leading stakeholder bodies, the conference will feature a combination of plenary, break-out sessions, and an International Gala Dinner. Over 80 papers and case studies on Organisational Change and Sustainability from senior researchers, business managers and international think-tanks will be presented in an interactive debate on latest thought leadership and practice.
A range of prominent speakers will be present to shape and inform the collective discussions. The conference will feature executive-level inputs from Sir Michael Rake, Chairman of BT Group plc and former Chairman of KPMG International, John Elkington, Founder of SustainAbility, and Prof. Dexter Dunphy from the University of Technology Sydney; and many other organisations including IBM, Accenture, Procter & Gamble, Center for Creative Leadership, ESADE Business School, TNT Express.

Promoting the next Generation of CR Leaders
A special PhD conference will take place at Ashridge on September 13. This conference brings together doctoral candidates from across Europe and beyond to share their research experience, their findings and the challenges they face in their studies on corporate responsibility. It provides a unique opportunity to boost individual PhD projects by benefiting from high-level feedback from EABIS experts and peer-learning from fellow PhD candidates in the CR/Sustainability space.

The European Academy of Business in Society (EABIS) is a unique and growing alliance of companies, business schools, academic institutions and affiliate networks that is committed to understanding and integrating corporate responsibility into business theory and practice.
