FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - DaimlerChrysler Services North America, the finance arm of DaimlerChrysler AG, made a charitable donation of $100,000 last month to CARE on behalf of its dealers, customers and associates.

CARE, a humanitarian organization fighting global poverty, is dedicated to helping the world's neediest countries solve their most pressing social issues. CARE focuses on the areas of education, community advancement and economic development, which are also consistent with the corporate philanthropy strategy of DaimlerChrysler Services.

In support of the donation, DaimlerChrysler Services' 2004 holiday card was created with the CARE logo designed with three-dimensional puzzle pieces to emphasize its commitment to collaboration and partnership.

"We are pleased to contribute to a great cause that will benefit communities globally in need," said Klaus Entenmann, President and CEO - DaimlerChrysler Services North America. "Our business is about partnerships and commitment to the communities in which we live and work. This donation was made on behalf of our partners in support of our communities."

"Dedicated and courageous people in poor communities have shown time and time again that they can build a better future for themselves and their children," said Peter Bell, President and CEO of CARE. "Generous gifts like this one go a long way toward helping communities help themselves."
