From November 7 though December 31, Finish Line customers were invited to "Celebrate By Giving Back" and help support youth athletic programs throughout the country. All customers who donated received a coupon booklet with offers totaling $50 in savings on future purchases. This is the 12th year of the annual fundraising effort, which, to date, has raised millions of dollars to fund new opportunities for children to be active.

"We are extremely grateful for the generosity and support from Finish Line customers who have stepped up to help America’s youngest minds," said Gary D. Cohen, president of Finish Line Youth Foundation. "We also want to thank our store employees nationwide for their impressive fundraising efforts. The funds raised this year will provide resources and opportunities for kids everywhere to improve their own lives and the communities in which they live."

Some of the organizations that received funding from the Finish Line Youth Foundation in 2008 include: A & A Cottages (Mesa, AZ); Communities for People, Inc. (Boston, MA); Friends of Fort Dupont Ice Arena (Washington, DC); Fugees Family, Inc. (Scottdale, GA); Huntingdon Community Center (Huntingdon, PA); Jonathon's Place (Dallas, TX); Keshet Dance Company (Albuquerque, NM); Kingsley House (New Orleans, LA); Hassanein Boys and Girls Club (Queens, NY); Arthritis Foundation of Pacific Northwest Chapter (Seattle, WA); Boulder Parks and Recreation Foundation (Boulder, CO); Center for the Visually Impaired (Atlanta, GA); Jameson Camp (Indianapolis, IN) and the Diabetes Youth Foundation of Indiana (Kokomo, IN).
