SILVER SPRING, MD., December 18, 2006 -- Carbonfund.org is excited to announce that its new Carbonfreeâ„¢ partner, JCF Advisors, LLC of Marin, CA, will be offsetting the emissions of its entire annual electrical usage with renewable energy certificates retired by Carbonfund.org. JCF Advisors, a leading green minded, mortgage broker with a network of over 200 available lenders, specializes in expedited customer service that is much more than simply finding you the lowest rate. Their process requires careful research, calculated negotiations with a lender and a thorough understanding of an intricate real estate market.

Along with their ability to find financing for residential "green building" construction and renovation, JCF Advisors is committed to reducing its impacts and the support of clean energy is a key step toward making "Mortgages that MatterTM." "Clean energy is a vitally important piece of our plan to move toward a Zero Carbon world," said Eric Carlson, Executive Director of Carbonfund.org. "We’re proud to work with JCF Advisors to offset their carbon and provide support to the quickly expanding clean energy markets." "JCF is a Bay Area company that has a deep rooted commitment to the environment," said Brian Stewart, Partner at JCF ADVISORS. "We are only beginning our voyage down the long road of sustainability and reducing our own carbon footprint is just the tip of the iceberg for us, so stay tuned "“ we are also launching some very exciting new offerings for our environmentally conscience clients as well."

For JCF Advisors, Carbonfund.org will permanently retire its electrical use emissions through renewable energy certificates (RECs). These certificates are 100% Green-E certified by the leading renewable energy certification organization, the Center for Resource Solutions. These RECs will offset approximately 165,300 lbs of CO2, the main pollutant responsible for causing climate change.
