Washington, DC - February 22, 2006-- Carbonfund.org, a nonprofit organization that supports renewable energy, energy efficiency and reforestation projects that reduce carbon emissions, announces the addition of another member to their ever-growing team in the challenge to stop climate change.

Chelle Davidson, from Bellingham, Washington, joins the team as their media outreach manager. With a degree in Environmental Journalism from the Evergreen State College in Washington State, Davidson has spent much of her professional and personal life writing about and exploring the natural world. She spent four summers working as a wilderness ranger for the U.S. Forest Service from California to Washington State. "Living in the Pacific Northwest, one is constantly surrounded by the beauty of our earth. We live with nature on our front doorstep. It is impossible to live here and not only see the beauty, but feel the impact that global climate changes are having on our ecosystems," said Davidson.

After doing a lot of research on how she could best utilize her skills to make a positive impact on the earth, she joined the Carbonfund team because she believes their goal of seeking a cleaner, safer and more prosperous world for our generation and future generations by working toward a zero carbon world is the right place to make a positive change.

"I got into environmental journalism because I not only felt it was important to convey important information about the environment but to actually understand the science behind it," Davidson said. "Carbonfund does that. They impart very important information about reducing our carbon footprint and have the science behind them to back it up. At the same time, they make it easy for every single person to make a positive change for the better. I couldn't think of a better company to work with."

"For Carbonfund.org to be successful, we must educate people about the dangers of climate change. Effective communication is critical to this effort," says Lesley Marcus Carlson, President of Carbonfund.org. "Chelle brings considerable industry experience and knowledge about climate change to Carbonfund at precisely the time the media is asking for clear and concise answers to difficult questions. With a goal of reaching out to millions of people this year alone about climate change and the low cost of dealing with it, Chelle is a very welcome addition to the growing Carbonfund team."
