Focusing on the Netherlands as an example of a country in transition to a sustainable society, attendants - senior corporate and government representatives - will be challenged to discuss the implementation of similar business practices in their own economic realities through a combination of workshops, presentations and panel discussions. An exhibit, business matchmaking sessions, and VIP luncheons and receptions will provide the audience with networking opportunities.
WHO: The event is expected to draw a total of +/-1,000 COOs and VPs of Environmental Affairs, architects, urban planners as well as mayors, city council members and policymakers in Economic Development, Environmental, Planning, and Sanitation departments.
WHY: Business leaders and government representatives will discuss sustainable business practices as realized by Dutch companies and supported by the Dutch government. Participants will have opportunities to network with colleagues and, if appropriate, explore new business opportunities during one-on-one buyer-seller business matchmaking sessions.
WHEN: Thursday June 2, Friday June 3 and Saturday June 4, 2005. In conjunction with United Nations World Environment Day 2005.
