ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 20, 2005--Canvas Systems, a leading global provider of pre-owned Information Technology (IT) equipment and systems, announces the donation of computer systems to Imagine It! The Children's Museum of Atlanta. The computers will be used to update the museum's existing IT infrastructure with more processing power and faster computing capabilities for their marketing, development, and membership departments. Canvas Systems provided the computers as an extension of their Asset Recovery and Disposition services, which recycle, reuse or redeploy IT equipment to help bridge the technology divide and give worthy organizations some much-needed technology.

"Thanks to James Davie of Canvas Systems, a long-time supporter of Imagine It! The Children's Museum of Atlanta and a current board member," said Shannan Reese, director of development at the museum.
"James has donated great amounts of time and expertise to advise our development efforts and to help secure contributions."

"Donating computing solutions to non-profits that have a strong commitment for improving the imagination, education, and lives of Atlanta families is one of the best uses of our resources," said James Davie, Vice President and co-founder of Canvas Systems. "It has been an honor to serve this important organization."

Canvas Systems helps companies properly liquidate surplus equipment through a wide range of asset recovery services. Donations to philanthropic organizations are just one way Canvas redeploys unused or excess IT assets within the community to help fill technology needs. Canvas fully inspects and refurbishes equipment before offering it to community organizations. In response to the growing trend of electronic waste due to the high-tech revolution, Canvas also offers asset disposition services to companies looking to unload unwanted IT equipment. Any obsolete or unusable equipment is disposed of in accordance with government regulations.

Imagine It! The Children's Museum of Atlanta guides young minds through the world in which they live and helps children explore new and exciting places through interactive exhibits. The museum is offering a new program called Access It! which subsidizes admissions to the museum for low-income families and individuals. Through this program, Imagine It! The Children's Museum of Atlanta partners with non-profit groups in the community to identify groups of children and families who want to attend the museum, but cannot afford the admission cost.
