Waltham, MASS - The Ethics Officer Association (EOA) has announced the conference agenda for their 13th Annual Business Ethics and Compliance Conference. The conference, which is the largest gathering of ethics and compliance professionals worldwide, will take place October 25-28 at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country in San Antonio, Texas. The conference will include federal government panels with representatives from the U.S. Sentencing Commission, the SEC, the DOJ, and the PCAOB. Over the course of the three day event, attendees will be able to choose from more than 40 sessions including:

  • European Data Privacy/Labor Rules - A New Compliance Challenge for Multinational Corporations

  • Ethics and Compliance on the Front Lines of Iraq and Afghanistan

  • Communicating for Employee Engagement & Commitment

  • Inside the Beltway: Shaping Corporate Governance

  • Avoiding Criminal Prosecution: What to do Before the Prosecutor Arrives

The conference will also include sessions on corporate culture, measuring program effectiveness, risk assessment, and corporate case studies.

"The new standards - and risks - introduced by legislators, regulators, and the courts over the past several years, along with the challenges of doing business across borders, have created an increasingly complex environment for ethics and compliance officers," said Keith Darcy, Executive Director of the EOA. "Clearly, this requires extraordinary skills and experience to manage these risks. This year's conference offers ethics and compliance professionals a broad array of opportunities to learn from a number of public and private sector experts about successfully managing in these turbulent times. Attendees will learn not only how to comply with new standards, but they will also be given the tools necessary for building a solid ethical culture within their organizations."
