NAPA, Calif- Beaulieu Vineyard, historic Napa vintner and sponsor of the Las Vegas Centennial, is taking the winery on the road this summer in a big, red, BV-branded tour bus. The BV Vineyard to Vegas tour will stop in New York on Wednesday, June 22nd and co-host a grape stomping competition with local radio station 95.5 FM WPLJ to benefit Citymeals-on-Wheels.

The BV Vineyard to Vegas activities will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22nd at South Street Seaport in Manhattan. Those attending can participate in the grape stomp, sample BV's award-winning wines and play wine education games for prizes. Citymeals-on-Wheels will award one lucky participant with a trip for two to Las Vegas, and other participants will have the chance to win tickets to the Road to Vegas Collective Soul concert at Irving Plaza on June 22nd.

"Beaulieu Vineyard has been a long time supporter and participant in Citymeals' grandest annual fundraising gala and we are proud to partner with them as they celebrate 100 years of winemaking," said Marcia Stein, Executive Director of Citymeals-on-Wheels. "We wish them great success on their exciting venture to Vegas. As a charity that delivers food on wheels, we will be there in spirit as this caravan crosses the country."
As an official sponsor of the Las Vegas Centennial, the BV Vineyard to Vegas Tour parallels the Road to Vegas Tour with Collective Soul, a 10 city concert series with the multi-platinum rock group. Beginning in San Francisco on May 27, the BV Vineyard to Vegas tour traveled to Los Angeles, Phoenix, Houston, Ft. Lauderdale, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and will continue to Chicago and Atlanta after visiting New York City. The tour arrives in Las Vegas on July 2, in time for the official Las Vegas 100th Birthday Bash.

Citymeals-on-Wheels seeks to provide a continuous lifeline of nutritious food and human company to homebound elderly New Yorkers in need, thereby helping them to live with dignity in their own familiar homes and communities. They hand-deliver meals to over 17,000 meal clients on weekends, holidays and in times of emergency -- times when many vulnerable seniors might otherwise go without. Thanks to their partnership with the Department for the Aging, as well as specially designated grants and funding, they guarantee that 100% of all public donations will be used entirely for the preparation and delivery of meals.
