CHESTNUT HILL, MA - May 8, 2007 - In response to the needs of today's complex business environment, the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship has significantly revised its executive education program, including the addition of a new certificate in corporate citizenship and seven new course offerings.
Boston College, with 22 years experience as a leading educator of community involvement and corporate citizenship professionals, is the only university in North America that provides certificates in the areas of corporate involvement and corporate citizenship. The three certificate programs are:
Certificate in Corporate Community Involvement
With an emphasis on strategy and program execution, this program is designed for community involvement practitioners focused on mastering basic competencies required to build relationships and manage investments in the communities where the company operates.
Certificate in Advanced Corporate Community Involvement
With an emphasis on innovation and impact, this program is designed for community involvement practitioners focused on mastering advanced competencies needed to build innovative and integrated social engagement strategies that leverage core organization competencies to deliver more acute value to business and to society.
Certificate in Corporate Citizenship Management
With an emphasis on strategy, alignment and integration, and institutionalization, this program is designed for anyone focused on mastering basic competencies needed to develop and execute a comprehensive corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy that aims to maximize positive impacts and minimize negative impacts across the company's value chain.
The Boston College executive education program has some 4,000 alumni placed in companies around the world who hold positions ranging from contributions manager to vice president of corporate responsibility. Each certificate program has been carefully designed to meet the needs of managers and the demands of competitive global corporations. The recent revamping of the programs has expanded the scope of learning to reflect the complexities of the current business environment.
Corporate managers are allowed to enroll in any of the courses offered-regardless of whether they intend to pursue any of The Center’s three certificates. The Center's executive education can also be brought to a work site and customized to fit a company's individual needs.
